Hi Mallory,

I learned of your journey through Katherine Arnold"s site, you are both very strong girls and an inspiration to all that read your stories.  I keep up with your progress daily and you are in my thoughts and prayers.  My daughter Kelsi will be over there on the 4th floor Thursday and Friday for her IVIG treatment.  If you are feeling up to it send me an email and maybe we can stop by and say hello.

You are winning!

Shari

Good morning little princess....Sure hope you got a good night"s rest..I will never forget that glowing smile on your face when the nurses brought you down the hall in 4 East...You looked so pretty in that bed.  Right after I took the picture of you I said a quick prayer and thanked God for getting you on the road to recovery and then I shed some tears of  JOY........My goodness what a strong young lady you are!!!  You never cease to amaze me......I tell everyone I meet about you and your battles with your health.   You have inspired so many people...People that hear your story and don"t even know you just break down in tears.  God is using you for an insturment to help others!   Just keep on smiling and eat and drink . God Bless You! Love You......... Maw Maw

Hey Mal...well it has been 3 weeks now and I miss you already.  I wanted to tell you that on my way out I ran into Izzie your new liver, she was sooo hot and look incredibly strong and healthy.  She told me she was so happy to be a part of Team Mal and that she was planning on being with you for the rest of your very long life!!  As far as Alex and George go, they are slackers but don"t give up on them...they will be okay, you just have to be patient with them and baby them a little bit!  I am so glad I was able to be a part of your life, just wish it could have been for longer.  You are the most amazing person and I love you.  Love and Prayers...your old liver, Doug.

I"m leaving tommorrow and didn"t even get your Grandma"s name.  Please let me know if I can help you in any way, I have already started spreading the gosspil about organ donation.  Have a strong recovery and keep in touch may God bless you.  Eileen

Mallory,

Confucius Say...   "A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step".

and he also say...  "It does not matter how slowly you go, so long as you do not stop".

Jessica and I enjoyed looking up Confucius quotes on Google for senior quotes.  If you and your mom get bored, you should go check them out sometime.

You have come soooo far.  We are very happy to hear that you are getting stronger, and walking farther.  We will continue to pray and think about you.

Love you,

Mallory! Okay... so I tried to put a picture in this message, but I wasn"t sure how. So tell your Mom or Dad if they have time to e-mail me at my school address and I can send them to ya"ll! Or you can get on Facebook and they"re on there too. But first, the background story to said pictures--

This past Friday my sorority had our pledge bash and the theme was "perfectly paired." So while everyone else decided to be really cutesy things like Lucy & Ethel and Danny & Sandy from Grease, we decided to be...

A FAT KID AND CAKE. And of course I was the fat kid. It was hilarious. And I was hoping I could bring a smile to your face by putting them on here, but I wasn"t sure how to do it and I didn"t want to mess anything up.

I"m coming home for my Fall Break on Friday though and I"m hoping to get down there to visit you and your family! But until then remember-- I love you like a fat kid loves cake! Take care and I"ll see you soon! :)

Mallory,

Thank you so much for the note. I just received it this Sunday morning. You are too sweet, and I just want to let you and your family know that all the glory goes to God, because i know that i am not worthy of such an honor. I missed you so much on Friday night, i am tearing up as i write this now. To be queen after such a girl as yourself is such an honor. I only hope that i can do it just as much justice as you have. you are so strong, and you have taught me so much just by the way you live your life. continue to pursue Him and He will give you strength. i miss you so much and what you said in your note was so kind of you. I LOVE YOU and i want to come see you really soon! hugs and kisses.

I am so glad to hear that you had a restful night.  That is probably the best thing you can do right now.  Sounds like the fever may stay away today and that is great news!

I thought I would contribute to the joke parade:

How do you make a hankie dance?

Put a little boogie in it!

And a question to ponder:

How do fish develop a taste for worms?  Worms live on land and fish live in water?  Who was that first fearless fish that said, hey I"ll try it?

I hope you have a day filled with smiles and laughter.

Hey Mal,

I am glad that nasty fever is gone, hopefully it will stay gone!! I can not tell you how many times a day we think of you - I get online several times a day just to get an update. The first thing Greg"s says when he comes in from work is "Have you checked Mal"s website lately?"

We want to come see you as soon as you feel up to it!!We are helping my boys move next Saturday :( so I will need to see that sweet spirit of yours to cheer me up!!!

We want to bring all of you dinner some night soon, seems y"all are getting quite a bit of home cooked food - I think that is great!! Nothing beats a home cooked meal!!

Good morning Sweetie,

I know everyone is so proud that you have walked on your own and that Alex and George have finally started to do their job. I"m so sorry you had that fall last night. You didn"t need that to happen did you??!!!

I am praying that they will be able to determine what is causing your fever and get that taken care of so that you can get on with your recovery.

You just amaze me at your strength. Please keep hanging in there. I know that things are going to get better.

We love you very much.

Karen Hackerson

Hi Mallory! I"m not even sure if you would know me or not, but I am Holly Dutton"s mom. I know that you weren"t really close through school but we have definately kept up with you and your story since you first got sick and I just wanted you to know. I hope it helps you to know that there are even more people out there rooting you on and praying for you than you probably realize!

We missed seeing you tonight at homecoming, but because of your not being there, we learned that you had become ill again. Thankfully, they had some flyers put together with your website so we could check your progress and order some t-shirts. We"re planning on ordering a shirt for each of us and also distributing copies of the flyers to several others we know. I also have a HUGE network of friends who are "prayer partners" and I will be sending each of them an email with a link to your site so that they can pray for you and your family, including Izzy! My thought is to get the word out to as many people as possible to raise funds, raise awareness, and for prayers. I"m sure you are a testimony to the power of prayer!!

Thank the Lord that you and your family are believers and are as faithful as you are. Your faith will see you thru and His Grace will carry you during the most difficult times. If there is ever anything you need or would like, please do not hesitate to contact us. We are happy to help in any way that we can! The same goes for your mom as well.

Hugs and prayers,

Karen Hackerson and the Dutton girls, Holly and Emily
