Hey Mallory! it"s claire. i just wanted to send you a note of encouragement. I know you must be sooo exhausted, but i wanted to remind you that Jesus has give us not a spirit of fear, but of power and a strong mind. He is your number one fan. If you need any encouragement, i hope that it would not be found in any one person but Christ. for He is our very present help in time of need. There is a song that i love and i have been hearing it on the radio. i think that it is by Chris tomlin. but some of the words are...

Bring me joy, bring me peace...bring whatever it takes to praise you, and i know there"ll be days when (something...i guess being stressed, sad or exhausted :) because then he sings) but if that"s what it takes to praise You, Jesus bring the rain....Mallory, i think of you when i hear this song and i hope that you can see that Jesus is bringing rain in your life so that He may be exalted. You can pretty much say that when people see you, they know that there is something in you that is bigger than anything anyone could ever imagine. sometimes, the LORD has to take us to great heights before we can realize our unrealized power. I love you so much and i continue to think of you aften. i will dedicate this week to praying for your quick recovery. God"s got your back sweetie, no crying. You know exactly who holds tomorrow!!! I love you. God bless your strong family.

Love,

claire

PS Great job on the progress updates Lisa

We love you

Phyllis Maulden

Hi, Mallory & Family

I have thought & prayed for you often this past week. Hal was on a Unilever trip last week & I did not have a "working" computer at home. I am thrilled to know your kidneys are improving. Our sunday school class at Rowland Springs Baptist prayed for you  again today. I pray today that your pain will not be so bad. When I get an ache or pain I think about how much more you are enduring. You are one tough girl!! I am sure as soon as you can get out of the bed you will be on your way to the University of Georgia . I am under the impression you need  help in your true conversion from Alabama. To help you along, I have bought you "17" University of Georgia items. The Maulden Family would like to visit soon & bring these to you. I hope you improve quickly and the pain is only a bad memory.

Hello, Mallory..... Martha Smith and I met online as Halsell relatives and she has kept me updated on your health problems and progress.  As an ovarian cancer surviver, I learned the power of prayer and know the prayers of so many on my behalf meant so much to my husband, Gerald, and me.  You, your doctors and your family have been in my prayers multi times daily and I am cheering for you!  You have a good attitude and are a fighter....  God bless.   Barbara

Len and Hilda Griffin
We were fortunate to have you next door to our three day old grandson, Michael Hunter Griffin upon arrival at CHOA.  We found out you were 19 and Hunter was born 9/19/07.  After the move we became close to your wonderful family, sharing stories of your miracle as we hoped for a miracle of our own.  Your mother and father have been an inspiration to my young son, Michael and his wife Katie.  Your grandmother has truly touched my life and we have shared grandmother concerns.  Our missions are similar.  I have her address and plan to keep up with you and your extraudinary family.  Good luck at UGA!  Love and prayers, Len and Hilda Griffin "Hunter"s grandparents.

Hello Miss Mallory,

Just a brief note to let you know you"re still in my thoughts. Farid mentioned that he told you about the Anatomy Class t-shirts. It"s a terrific shirt with "Bodies...The Exploration" on the front and the Vitruvian Man (you know, the DaVinci drawing) on the back. There"s a section for current students" names and a section for "Distinguished Alumni". Students are buying these shirts to help support the Shop With a Mustang program...Anyway, of course I added your name to the "distinguished alumni" section of the shirt and it will be a little gift for you to look forward to as soon as it arrives.

Stay strong!

Dr. J

Hi Mallory,

I am writing to let you know that you are also in my prayers.  I have been visiting Egleston a lot this week because my baby nephew, Hunter Griffin is in one of the rooms next to you in the PICU.  I have seen how your family gathers and cares for each other, and that is such a testimony for their love for you.  I pray that your body will heal sooner rather than later, and that you will get that transplant!

Best Wishes,

Sarah Williams
