Nicole Herring

mal....ive been thinking about you lots lately! i"ve been worried about your set-backs, excited about your progress, thankful in my prayers, and asking for more prayers from my family and friends.  i miss you!  teaching is  tough and though ive tried to get out earlier to come see you...it hasnt worked out that way yet!  i dont know if your mom told you, but my sister had her baby the 25th! as she went into the er for surgery (c-section) i thought of you...not because you had a kid or anything..haha..but, because i knew that you were going through as much pain and much more than my "real" sister....and i just couldnt help but wish i could take both of your places at that moment...just to take it all away from both of your bodies!  i realized something this week....i realized how weak i really am.  i havent had to go through anything close to what you have and i"d like to think that if i will one day that i would be as strong and you...however, the harsh realization hit me...i know that i wouldnt last a day...you"re amazing!  your will to press on is stronger than anyone i know!  your poor body tells the world that it cant handle any more but nope...mal says yes it can and it does and i am amazed everytime your beautiful face comes to my mind! im so amazed!

i know that i am not the only person who feels this way! so mal...for all us weak people in the world...stay strong! dont give up! fight! you give me hope and keep my faith alive! you my dear are storing up riches in heaven every day that you breath because of your faith and will to keep truckin"! god bless you!  and keep on blessing you!! you are the single most deserving person in this world!!! thank you for being that example for me and so many others!

so, i see that you"ve named your kidneys...:) nice!  how bout the new liver? does he have a name too?

well, i"m gonna go...but i just have one more thing to say,

"i"m a survivor..i"m not gon" give up! i"m not gon" stop! i"m gon" work harder! i"m a survivor and i"m gonna make it! i will survive and keep on surviving!"

i love you!

Mal,

You don"t know me personally sweetie, probley never will, I am a friend to a friend, but I want to share something with you that everyone else has,  Our God, May he feel your Faith, May he Hold your Hand, May he brush away the tears that shed from your eyes, May he look upon you as a chosen angel to share on this earth a devine grace that only we know thru our God.  I said I was not going to cry, I said I can  do this.  This is What God ask of me today as I sit and think about you. He ask me to say a prayer, not for peace, not for praise, not to forgive, He simply wants me to tell you that He is with You, Not only this minute but every minute, He knows what you feel in your heart and he says that is ok, He says you are worried, He said  Don"t worry... I will NEVER Forsake You, He said you know this is tough, but when the going gets tough.... The TOUGH get GOING. He said one more thing  He said He Loves you Sweetie, More than you will ever know.

Our God has blessed you Mal, Now he will heal you. This I can atest to for he has given so much to me and my Family... Mr and Mrs Smith Thank You for belief  in the power of PRAYER. It works... I will check back on you tonight before I go to Bed, I pray that God will lift all the illness for your body and you will be 100% again.very soon

Hi Mal,

I just wanted you to know that I continue to pray for you. I have continued to ask God to grant you good health. I really liked the story about the number 17 and wanted to pass on an interesting bible fact. The word Health occurs 17 times in 17 verses in the KJV.

Then shall thy light break forth as the morning, and thine health shall spring forth speedily: and thy righteousness shall go before thee; the glory of the LORD shall be thy rereward.

~ Isa 58:8 ~

Dear Smith Family,

May God surround each of you tonight with His grace as you wait for the next step in Mallory"s recovery.  Mallory"s family and friends messages are so special  and encouraging.  We know how proud each of you are of her fighting spirit after reading the guest book entries.

We have had Mallory on our prayer list since Sharliss Arnold shared your story on Katherine"s website.  We will continue to intercede for Mallory"s healing and lift up in prayer her specific needs.

You are such an inspiration Mallory!  The Energizer Bunny just seems to suit you.  Every time I visit this web-site (one hundred times per day, but don"t tell Georgian Bank) I am amazed by all of the guest postings.  The prayers are coming from all over the world.  We never know God"s plan and this liver thing has been so crazy from the start, but good things do come from bad things.  People are praying to and celebrating our awesome, wonderful God.  That can"t be a bad thing!

The 17 thing still gives me goose bumps.  Always remember there is no such thing as a coincidence, only times when God chooses to remain anonymous.  I think Ike Reighard of Northstar said that and it really stuck in my mind.  Although in your case God is writing across the sky, "I love Mallory Smith" every time he presents us with another "17" as a tribute to your beloved Paw Paw.

I know you probably know this too, but you are blessed to have the most awesome family in the world.  Your mom and dad are AMAZING!  Then if that was not enough you have a brother that worships you, a MAW MAW that is every grandchilds dream, and aunts, uncles and cousins that can"t get enough of their Mallory.  Your Paw Paw did a good job with you guys and he is up in heaven watching over this precious family, fishing, and shouting ROLL TIDE!

Get well and get those kidneys working.  Maybe George and Alex are waiting for the season premier of Grey"s tomorrow to get back to work????  Just like guys to make an entrance and be fashionably late.

Mallory, Kristen called me to read your Dad and Michael"s wonderful notes to you.  Through her tears I could not help but remember a time when she asked me why God allowed bad things to happen.  She asked this years ago when the tragedy at Collenbine ( I am sure I mispelled this) happened.  My answer was that I did not believe God makes bad things happen; however, look what has happened as a result of it.  The whole country rallied around that community and those people that had suffered. So many reamrkable things happened as a result.

Now I look at all the people praying for you.  You have touched so many lives.  People that have never met you, yet you inspire them.  I believe you have made each one of us a better person through your courage, your families courage, your faith and attitude.

God bless you and your family and those caring for you
