Ralph & Juanita

Dear Mal,  I just read Mike"s letter to you and I am sitting here crying my eyes out!I just had to tell you what a wonderful family you have! What a beautiful letter from a Dad to his Daughter! They have always been right there by your side, they are the sweetest people I have ever seen. There are not many familys that are this loving and devoted.  Everyone now is all for themselves, but your family have all put their lives on hold to care for you and love you in your time of need!  All of the family from different states are all gathering in person and spirit to do anything they can do to help you in your time of need!  We don"t have many family members and this is such a blessing to us to see such love and devotion! We are so proud to be a "New" part of your "Family"and we all love you dearly.

Congratulations Michael, we hope you will be very happy in your new job! With such a wonderful family behind you, you will be a success too!

Thank You For accepting Our Love Too! " Mr. Robert"s Family," God Bless You All!

Dear  Mallory,

Praying for God"s grace to surround you and all the family tonight.  Agreeing with all your Prayer Warriors that the kidneys will begin to do their job!! I want to thank your Mom for the story and importance of the number 17 in your family.  My husband and I now realize the importance of the number 15.  After your Mom"s story we now know it lets us know Terry"s Mom is watching over us too.  I had already experienced the presence of butterflies that bring the recognition that my Mom and Granny are watching over me and my grandchildren.  God is speaking through your family and your faith is a shining example for all of us checking the website for news. You will remain in our prayers daily.

Hello Miss Mallory,  Michael and I are here sitting with you while Mom and Dad get some dinner.   We have a lot of funny things to tell you when you get better.  You have said so many funny things.  You sstill have that unique sense of humor.  Everyone knows how funny you are.  Thank you for being such an inspiration to everyone.  You will be amazed at the way you have influenced other people"s lilives.  I can"t wait for you to get  well enough to read all the encouraging.notes you have received.  You just keep amazing me.  I love you so much and will always be there for you.  Last night when I was standing by your bedside you asked me to get you a ham.....Funny funny.   You later said you meant gatoraide.   We had a good laugh with that.  Also, you told Michale and I you felt like you were in a bed with blue birds.  Don"t know where that came from...Just know our God is in control and you will get better.  This is just a longer journey thatn before.  God is an awesome God .  Love you, Maw Maw

Like you said, maybe God is putting you through this because he knows that you are strong enough to get through it and you will be a source of encouragement to others that are having a rough time of it! Hey Mal.  We hope that you will get well as quick as possible!  I know you must be very anxious to get this over and feel better again.  YOU WILL!  You are a remarkable young lady that has more courage than most of us can only imagine.  I normally don"t quote things but I found something online today that may help you a little.  You remain in our prayers for a speedy and full recovery.

"The Healing That We Need"

Why, O Lord, does it always seem
That we often get no reply?
When we are so very desperate
For all the answers why.

When we need a special touch
To heal all of our sickness
A miracle that only you can do
Restoring strength to our weakness

We do not know the reasons why
You don"t answer straight away
We only need to have faith in you
And be persistent when we pray

You may choose to heal much more
Than our needs of the physical
So much more is the spirit inside
That may be in need of a miracle

For you care so much for us
And want to see us healed
Not only in this body of ours
But in our souls as well

For healing is for every part
Our body, spirit and soul
And God just wants to touch each part
And make us truly whole

We needn’t feel so downcast
As we wait upon the Lord
For the answer will come in His time
Then we shall be restored.

(By M.S. Lowndes)

Get well SOON!

Dear Mallory,

It"s such great news that your liver is up and running.  I know it seams as if as soon as you pass one hurtle another one comes right behind,  but seeing that you have already overcome so much I know you will overcome this too.  Take strength in your family for they are your greatest asset.  They will help you find the strength to continue to overcome and thrive.

Best wishes,

Micah Maxwell

Hey Smith Family!

My name is Micah Maxwell and I"m from Elberton, GA, which is about an 1 hr and 15 minutes from Atlanta. I was visiting Avery Whitfield"s care page and noticed Mallory"s website, so I came to check it out. I just sat at my desk and cried, because I remember the day we heard the news about my nephew and how it felt! My nephew, Kaden Vaughn, who will be two next month, needs a liver transplant as well. His doctor is also Dr. Romero and he is great! My nephew was diagnosed with Biliary Artesia when he was only 7 weeks and he had his first sugery (Kasai procedure) when he was only 9 weeks old. He is now on the transplant list, but he is doing fairly well so he is towards the bottom of the list. They told us it could be years or as little as a couple of weeks before he needs a liver, but as of right now he is doing good. He is very energetic and our clown of the family! He makes us all laugh! He is the first boy in our family and first grandchild on both sides, so he is spoiled rotten! I have an older sister (23) (Kaden"s mom Leanda Vaughn) and a younger sister (19) and I"m the middle sister (21). Kaden is also loved by all the nurses and doctors, because he"s always smiling. Kaden and Mal are troopers! You will have to ask Dr. Romero and some of the nurses about little Kaden. He is my sunshine!  It is so hard seeing a loved one go through such pain and discomfort. Please know that you all in our thoughts and prayers! I pray for a speedy recovery so Mal can hurry up and cheer on my DAWGS at upcoming football games. I saw where she is a Georgia Bulldog fan, and let"s just say I"m a sold out fan..lol! Go Dawgs! I will also add Mal to our prayer list at my church! Stay strong and keep the faith!

Love in Christ!

Micah
