Mike and Lisa,

I know today was the most painful day anyone could ever imagine and it was heartbreaking. Mallory left the most beautiful testimony I have ever heard to live on in the people who knew her. She most certainly will remain in our hearts as an example of how to live life.  We Love you - Hal and Phyllis

Hi, Mike and Lisa:

I am so sorry about Mallory.  I was in total shock when Ken Ozment told me she had passed away.  I did not realize she had been ill or that anything was wrong with her.  I looked at her photos and she is beautiful.  I cannot imagine what you and Lisa are going through right now.  There are no words that I can even think of to say, except I cried with you too, and I will keep you and your family in my prayers in the coming months.  I have lost my sister, my grandmother, and my mother within the last 15 months, so I do understand grief, but as I said, I have no clue how really devastated you are.  Each loss is so different. I just know that I would be devastated even though I have faith in God.  Please know that I am thinking of all of you.  Your loss is God"s gain and one day you will see her again.  Hopefully, that will give you some comfort and peace during this sad time.

Take care and my prayers are with you always,

Rita Tanner

I"ve never had the opportunity to meet Mallory but my girlfriend, Erin Williams, told me all I need you know about her. From her personality to making people laugh and making the overall quality of people"s lives better. We constantly checked the blogs and progress of her condition and with each blog I grew as a person and learned how strong of a woman Mallory is. She made me want to be a better person and for that I thank her. My most sincere condolences and prayers are with the family and friends of Mallory. RIP.

Thank you for sharing your story with all of us. Your family is an inspiration and Mallory has touched so many lives, including mine. I am praying for you in your time of mourning. When my dad passed away, the pastor said something that I have always remembered-When someone passes, we say we are sorry for the loss. But Mallory, like my dad, is not lost. We know where they are. And that has given me comfort in trying times.

It is an honor to be a part of Team mal- to be a personal witness to the courageous and resounding love of her family in the face of overwhelming uncertainty, sorrow and pain- to experience the incredible impact of Mallory"s life here on earth even while she lay in a hospital bed- to see her life as fully lived in Christ and to know that she is with God having fought the good fight. I will always remember your family, and may the peace and comfort of God be with you all.

Lisa and Mike,

I know right now there are very few words of comfort that I can give you during this difficult time. It seems like yesterday that I experienced my own personal grief with the loss of my husband. Mallory will always hold a very special place in my heart and I am so grateful that God allowed me to play a very small role in her life. I think that God looked down on Mallory and said to himself "job well done!" and decided that it was time for her to come home. There are so many people whose lives will be forever changed by having the honor of knowing your daughter. I know that we don’t understand why God decided to take her but know that God does not make mistakes and sometimes his decisions are not for us to understand. I am praying right now that in the next hours, days and months that you will walk in your faith and trust that God will give you the strength, endurance and courage to get by one day at a time.

John 14:1-6

Jesus, the Way to the Father

"Don’t let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God, and trust also in me. 2There is more than enough room in my Father’s home.[a] If this were not so, would I have told you that I am going to prepare a place for you?[b]3When everything is ready, I will come and get you, so that you will always be with me where I am. 4And you know the way to where I am going."

5 "No, we don’t know, Lord," Thomas said. "We have no idea where you are going, so how can we know the way?"

6 Jesus told him, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father except through me.

Keeping you in prayer,

Cortney Montgomery

My heart continues to break for you all. This world lost such a precious girl who was such a beautiful example of Christ to others. I never had the privilege of meeting your beautiful daughter, but I followed her story on here, and her story has impacted my life for the good. Thank you so much for sharing it with all of us. I am continuing to pray for God"s peace and healing for you all. I know she just lit up heaven when she arrived there! I can"t wait until I get to meet her up in heaven someday!

Some things that you didnt know Mallory - you have touched many lives without us making you aware.  We are fortunate enough to know a friend you got to know through your disease - Kelly Shaw.  Kelly and her family are very important to us and through her blog we"ve followed  (every day) your struggle.  We have never met in person but we wish we had an opportunity to do so before you passed.  You have touched our lives deeply.  As parents of four, we admire your struggle and hope that our own children grow into the strength that you showed through your disease.  Without knowing you personally we miss you and we grieve your loss.  We take comfort in knowing that you have such a supportive family.  We hope to meet you one day when the time comes.  We pray for you and hope you look after our children now that you can.  With love and respect - Kevin and Jennifer Roche and family.  XXOO

Mike....there is nothing that I could possibly say to comfort you. I am deeply sorry for your loss and I will be praying for you and your family. A parent fears and worries for their child through the years no matter how old they grow, but the one great tragedy is to lose a child in the prime of life. I know you would have given your life for hers if you could have.

Mallory"s loss will be painful for you, but she will live on in your mind your heart and your soul.

Your friend, Barry

My heart goes out to Mallory"s family at this time of grief. I know the pain you feel because I lost my 4 yr old son. Watching Mal day after day and seeing her suffer has to make this a relief but still we are never ready to let go.  You must remember Mal was a child of God and her time here was done. He lends us for a little while a child of mine He said, for you to love the while she lives and mourn for when she"s dead. It may be 6 or 7 years or 22 or 3 but til I call for her will you take care of her for Me. And I want to thank you for sharing her journel with everyone. I checked everyday hoping to read that miracle that never came. Remember I will continue praying for you all as the healing begins. The loneliness will hurt so bad but always remember you"re never alone, God will walk you through this. He will be your strength. Love to you all.

Our deepest sympathies for your loss.  We have been following Mallory"s story for a few years now ever since we were introduced to her amazing story by the Hughes family in our Sunday school class.  Your family is just amazing.  The love and dedictaion are just astounding and set quite an example for the rest of us.  Mallory"s and your family"s story is an inspiration in so many ways.  The love you all have for each other as well as your friends is so very apparent.  The love for God is also written all over your family and just warms our hearts even in such a tragic moment.

We will continue to pray for your family.  May God bless.

This message is for those around you at your time of loss~

May they not take to heart words and gestures from the ones that hurt the most, let them have understanding and patience when needed the most, may they hug you when you need it and give you space as well but most of all they can"t begin to imagine your loss so let them not say they know it all~ Only time that passes can mend your broken heart, and yet the more that passes is only more time apart, she will watch over you and you will feel her all around and then you will be reunited only then will she be found.

I didn"t know Mallory, I have never lost a daughter and I can"t imagine your pain, but I know Bridget have lost many that I love and therefore am touched by your family and pray for you now~

I first met Mallory whenever I was staying with Little Caroline Clayton, my very special grand daughter, at Egleston while giving her Mom and Dad a break during her second liver transplant.  She was so upbeat and compassionate toward the little ones.....How saddened and heartbroken I felt to hear about Mallorys" passing!  She was such a warrior and trooper, an ideal image of the type child every mother and dad hope to have their child imitate in all aspects of her much too short life! Her legacy will touch so many, in so many different ways, for countless years to come.  I know she will be looking down on all her loved ones and friends, while being so gloriously happy in her perfect new body, never ever again to suffer anything!  May God comfort and sustain you in this unbearable loss of this precious loved one, and hold on to, and cherish, all the wonderful memories shared in the time God allowed her to spend with you.  You all are  in my prayers.
