Mallory:

Itching is a bummer.  I will attest from my past that some weird things happen to nerves etc after surgery; you would laugh at me trying to walk bare-footed, even on a nearly level surface, not even hot.  My feet became so super-sensitive - you would lol if you saw me doing so.  BUT I just know your itching will leave one day as quick as it came on & you will soon depart the hospital. One last note: We all 3 got our shirts, & I have worn mine around Marietta all day!! With love,  T (of J&T)

Hey Mal and Lisa! I"m praying for the itching to go away and give you some much needed rest. So many prayers are being answered and I know he will answer this one. You are such a wonderful, strong, sweet young lady. I can only imagine the plan that God has for your life. It"s got to be GREAT! Look at what your testimony of faith, strength, endurance and the power of prayer have shown so many people thus far. And Lisa you have shown us the true meaning of LOVE and DEVOTION. You both truly amaze me. I can"t wait to see the both of your beautiful, smiling faces come walking thru the bank"s front door. Love and prayers to all the Smith family.

Hey Mallory,

I just wanted to say hello.  I have wanted to come up and visit these last few weeks but I"ve had a very critical patient and getting away has been difficult, even for lunch.  I got to know Alex while he was here, he"s a great kid just like you are.  We often talked about you so he keep me updated on your condition as well as your web page.  I really hope you"re home for Thanksgiving,  I"ll be here.  If you still are(and I hope you are not) I should be able to come up, things seem to get slow over the holidays.

Hey Mallory!

I read your story and saw how crazily similar it was to mine. Fortunatly, I have done well since my transplant. I am 18, and discovered I had Wilson"s disease apporoximatly two and a half months ago. I went to the hospitalon a Tuesday thinking I had a severe blatter infection, however that night, I found out my liver was failing. No one knew why, until Wednesday night. By then, they had given me a time frame of about 48 hours. After that, they didnt know how long I"d last. I was also at Kennestone at first. I currently am in Kennesaw. However, once they decided I needed an emergancy transplant, they transported me to Piedmont hospital. That Friday night, I recieved my transplant. Thank goodness! I am sure you know exactly what I am talking about. I am so sorry you are having so much trouble though...I would love to speak with you. I also was a cheerleader, bb player, softball player, track. ect. lol So we may have things in common! You seem like such a speacial person and you are sooo beautiful! I would love it if you wrote me back somtime and let me know how you are feeling. My email is duckworthbrittany@yahoo.com. I sure hope to hear from you soon!

Sincerely,

Brittany Dukcworth

Hi Mallory,

You remind me so much of my own granddaughter.  She is your age and also a cheerleader at Chapel Hills High School.  Their squad won their regionals and went to the state finals last weekend, but didn"t fair so well at that level.

I am so glad to hear the enthusiasm and spirit in your writing.  I know you are getting better.  You had to with all these Christian people praying for you.  Keep eating the steaks and potatoes, get your strength back and out of there.  You"ve been there too long.

You are in my thoughts and prayers.  I check on you daily.  You are a beautiful young lady and have a lot of life ahead of you.  Just think of the influence you can have on other youngsters in similar situations.

God bless you and all your family.  I can only imagine what all of you have been through.

Take care of yourself.

Jerry Townsend

Mallory!!!  I cried when I heard it was you on the journal.  I am so proud of you and so glad you are hungry.  Please don"t over-do it, but I am thrilled with your amazing attitude and your progress to get better.

Great job sneaking up to the 6th floor.  If they have a problem with it, tell them to kick out of the hospital.  I am really not surprised you did that.  Ask your mom how to sneak into the first row of a concert!

Sending happy thoughts and prayers to room 468!!  Sleep well...
