Hi Mallory, Lisa, Mike and Michael, (and Maw Maw Kitty),

I am at church working today.  Everyone is really praying that you will soon be up and out of the hospital.  We know you are getting stronger each day with Izzie.  We will see you as soon as you feel like having company. I will be bringing "brownies" for your sweet tooth.

Now, Lisa - as I have said I will be happy to help out in anyway - that includes cleaning your house.

We love you all,

Hi

We are praying hard for Mallory.  My Jen went through acute renal failure after both her liver transplants.  She required CVVH both times and both times her kidneys started functioning again.  We"ll keep on praying for Mallory, Izzy and her kidneys too.  Has she named her kidneys?  Jen named her K & P for "keep" "peeing", kinda strange but that"s the mind of a teenager.

Hello Mallory.  My name is Peggy Tindle and I was a classmate of your Grandmother Kitty.  I belong to the church family with your Great Aunt Lucille and Uncle Leo.  That is just to set the stage as it were and let you know who I am.  You have been in our thoughts and prayers at Satsuma United Methodist church for some time now.  I have been sharing updates and this website with our congregation on a one on one basis.  I sent the site to our new Pastor and you will probably be hearing from her also.  She came to us from Atlanta too.  Anyway, I have an emotional attachment to you and feel a kinship of sorts.  Almost like you were one of my grandchildren.  I pray that "Izzie" will be the perfect healing for you that we are all praying for.  God be with you and your family always.  Yours in Christ.  Peggy  Tindle <><

Mallory,

Sweetie,  I wanted to write to you tonight because I won"t be with you when you wake up.  I will be in West Virginia on a white water rafting trip on Thursday through Sunday and won"t be back to work until Tuesday.  I"m sad I won"t be here when you open your eyes.   You really kept us busy last night.  You came to me about 9:00pm and kept us moving till morning. Izzie seems to be doing her job right now which is wonderful.  She needs to give a little kick to her neighbors(your kidneys) to get them started.  I"ve really enjoyed talking care of you again.  I think the world of you and your family. I"m sure that izzie will do her duty and this visit to the ICU will be the last time we will have a nurse/patient relationship. Only social visits from now on, ok.  I"ll see you when I get back.

May God continue to bless the Smith Family and grant Mallory and Izzie a harmonious and speedy recovery.  Every time I read the quest book it really hits home how loved and adored Mallory is by everyone who knows her and even those who do not.  I am one of the lucky ones that has seen her grow into such a fine young lady.  This did not happen by accident.  She had the love of God and her family encouraging and celebrating her every day.

Lisa, please get some rest and know that one day this will all be a distant memory and your happy healthy beautiful daughter will be living the fantastic and rewarding life she deserves.

God bless the donor and their family for this amazing gift so that Mallory may recover and move on with the rest of her life.

Dear Mal & Lisa,

Everytime I read an update I burst into tears! Tears of pure joy and thankfulness. This morning at 5:45 I read the update from last night. I was praising God to the top of my lungs and thanking Him. God is amazing! Mallory, YOU are amazing. You have changed my life. My faith and belief in God has reached a new level. And to read all of the messages from so many  people shows me just how many of God"s followers united in prayer there are out there. Sleep for now sweet girl, and rest up for the wonderful life you have ahead of you. Lisa, stay strong and please take care of yourself. I miss you and can"t wait to see you. Tonya Hilburn

Mallory & Lisa,

I just found out about your surgery yesterday and your web site.  It was the strangest thing, on Sunday I was putting some things up in storage and this picture fell out of a box and it was of You, Brittany, Meghan (moose), Andrea, Natalie and Alicia.  All in your Georgia Allstar uniforms, pony tails, and most of you missing teeth!  I laughed until I cried, for some strange reason I was feeling extremely emotional over that picture. I think we were at Hard Rock Cafe in Myrtle Beach. That evening, Brittany got home from an out of town birthday trip with Nathan and I showed it to her and we both laughed and reminisced about those days again!  Brittany said mom, Mallory"s birthday was last week too!  The next morning Sharon emailed me and told me about your surgery, we couldn"t believe it!  So please know that even though we just found out about it, we were thinking of you on Sunday!  We are so happy that your surgery was a success. Please let us know when you are up for visitors, I think we need to have a reunion!    Happy Belated Birthday Sweetie!  We Love you and are praying for you-    Tonya and Brittany Hilburn

Mal,
This email originates in Federal Way.We are pleased that Izzie has arrived and started his new work. At about 9:30 AM our time yesterday (Monday), Mr. Bubba Layson, our project team leader called for a moment of silence for you and he suggested that those of faith use the time to pray. I am sure that there were many prayers offered for you and for the team of people involved with the transplant.

Tim has kept us posted throughout the day on you progress. We appreciate the updates.

Looking forward to seeing you in Athens.

We are so pleased that Mallory is doing so well.  She has been in our prayers and we will continue to pray for a speedy recovery.  When I checked on her last night she was still in surgery.  She must have 17 little angels looking over her.  I could not get over the date.  This time I got tiny goosebumps just thinking that during one of my visits we discussed that God would wait to give her a liver on this special day.  I will be looking for new updates often during the week and will plan on seeing Mallory on Monday.  Take good care of Mallory and take good care of yourself.  You have been awesome parents and Mallory is so blessed to have you relentlessly by her side.  Give her a kiss for me.

Love,

Cortney
