Mallory, I can"t believe how strong of a person you are.  I am so thankful that everything went as planned yesterday.  I was thinking of you guys every single minute and was anxiously awaiting new updates.  I am so excited to hear your bilirubin is down to 6, that is a miracle!  Now you are on the road to recovery and then you will be at college in no time.  I can"t wait to see you on Thursday, even though it seems so far away.  I will continue to pray for you and your family.  You truly are amazing!

A Psalm of David. Bless the LORD, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless his holy name.

Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits:

Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases;

Who redeemeth thy life from destruction; who crowneth thee with lovingkindness and tender mercies;

Who satisfieth thy mouth with good things; so that thy youth is renewed like the eagle"s.

Psalm 103:1-5

Hi Smith Family,

I know that you all have had a long day.Now it is time to get some rest.I don"t usually take my patients home with me.It is a protective technique I developed early in my nursing career to protect my sanity.However,Mallory has gotten to my heart as she has to many others.She is so courageous & special.This morning when I got home,I had to call back to the floor to ask if she had gone to OR before I could go to sleep.When I woke up,I checked the web site for updates.I  went to my Spanish class tonight & as soon as I got out of class,I called 4E to see if they had heard anything.As soon as I got home,I checked the web site & was excited to learn that she was out of surgery & doing well.I am off work this week but will be checking the web site & checking with co-workers to follow Mallory"s progress.I will be keeping you all in my thoughts & prayers.

Ann

Mallory,

You don"t really know me, but I know you. (Bridget use to keep my little girl, Anna Kate (she is now in pre-school). I prayed for you when you received your first liver transplant and I began praying for you again when you were recently admitted back into the hospital. I am never surprised at the miracles God can work. I am so relieved to read that your surgery went well and that you"re on your way to a speedy and full recovery. And to the donor"s family, what a true angel he/she is. They are in my thoughts and prayers as well. Get well!!!

Mallory, We are so proud of you and know God  lead the doctors through your surgery.  You are such a wonderful inspiration to all who know you and even those who have just heard your story.  I gave Dr. Heffron a big hug when he came out and told us you went through surgery great.  Just keep your strong faith and God will get you through the trying days ahead.  Just know how much you are loved.......We also thank the donor family for the gift of life they gave to you and we pray that somehow their sorrow will be eased knowing they have saved another life.  You know I am always here for you....I love you and God continue to give you wonderful blessings.   Love, Maw Maw and Robert

Mal,
This message originates in Federal Way WA, where the MPSFi team is meeting this week. We are pleased that Izzie has arrived and started his new job. Mr. Bubba Layson, who is our project team leader, asked for  a moment of silence for you today (around 9:30 am our time). He suggested that those of faith may want to use the time to pray; and I am sure that more than a few prayers were offered for you and the team of people working with you and Izzie.

Tim kept us posted on your progress throughout the day. Thanks to Mike for the updates, and thanks to you for persevering.

So many people on pins and needles all day...thank you, Lisa, for keeping all of us informed as we all waited to hear about Mallory"s progress. BR down to a 6 already; that gave me goose bumps (an involuntary contraction of the arrector pili muscles, you remember, right Mal?)

Dear Mallory,

John and I are very close friends of Jo and Pete Fitch"s.  Because of them, we have prayed for you during your illness and hospitalizations.  We know that you are as brave as you are beautiful.  We also know that God performs miracles everyday and this is our prayer for you.  Your journal tells about the very wonderful person that you are and about all of your accomplishments.  May God heal you and use you in a  long productive life. You will continue to be in our prayers daily.

TO Lisa & Mike,

I just looked on your web journal & saw Mallory has a LIVER!!!!! I called Hal 1st to let him know then I had to go & get Mallory"s Team Mal 17 t-shirt out to see if it really said 17!!! What a miracle - I think God gave her the number 17 to show everyone around that he does still perform miracles. He knew what it meant long before we did.  The Maulden family is just a phone call away if you should need anything. You are in our prayer"s that recovery will be quick & that you want worry too much. I expect to see a new and updated TEAM MAL 17 shirt !!!!! you go guys - Love, Phyllis
